How It Changes a Space
A white or cream room does not always need more color. Sometimes it simply needs somewhere for the eye to travel.
Ink Landscape with Pavilion creates that with a dark foreground, a waterfall, mist, the small pavilion, and mountain forms that recede behind one another. In the white-sofa setting, those layers give the wall depth while the monochrome palette keeps the room light.
This works especially well when the furniture is simple and the room could use a stronger sense of scale. There is more to look into, but the artwork does not ask you to introduce a whole new color scheme around it.
